salve Reader, I hope you have had an excellent start to the new school year. At the ARLT, we have been busy arranging new events and getting ready for learning and networking together. Here is some useful information: First of all, dates for the diary! This school year, we will hold two regular meetings as usual:
We are very much looking forward to seeing old and new colleagues at these two events. If you cannot wait to chat and learn with other Classics teachers, remember that we have an active Facebook group where you can get your questions answered all year round. We have now updated our website with the resources from the Summer School. You can access them via the Summer School Archive or by browsing our extensive resource section. Let us take this opportunity again to thank the Summer School director, Alex Smith, and the Summer School secretary, Alison Henshaw, for all the hard work organising such a fantastic event. If you are using our tutors' directory, please note that we have switched it to one year entries. Your current listing will be active for a year, and you do not need to do anything at the moment, but note that all current listings will need updating in a year's time. New members will be notified as they enter their information. If you missed our previous communications, note that our committee members and officers have also changed. Please join us in congratulating Lynda Goss as the new president of the ARLT! Lynda has been an active member of the ARLT during all her career, and if you have come to one of our events, it is most possible that you will have had a good chat with her. And before I go, you will notice that our emails will start coming from ARLT addresses moving forward. We hope that this will help with deliverability and communication. Please use these moving forward. If you fish us from your spam, please make sure to mark us as safe! Best wishes, Ana Martin Website and Publicity Officer |
